Ryan Chilcote

Background - Ryan Chilcote has been playing/studying guitar for more than 25 years. Not only does Ryan play electric, classical, and bass guitar (and some piano); but has also taken all the theory classes offered at York College of Pennsylvania. Ryan has an A.A. in Music Business, and continues to study orchestration at Berklee College of Music (online) and privately under Dr. Robert Lau of Penn State University. Mr. Chilcote also teaches at Harrisburg Area Community College as a private guitar instructor.

Teaching Approach - Mr. Chilcote teaches the fundamentals of music. By teaching the student the fundamentals on which music is built, the student can then apply these fundamentals to any music situation that might occur. In a sense, after learning the basics of music/guitar, the student can then further his or her ability to play the guitar by teaching him or herself.
